Love begins within

A small unassuming rosebud
Starts to bloom
Without any cares or woes
She starts out fragile as she grows
A gentle breeze caresses her
And dances along,
She twirls between the wildflowers
A wreath haphazard in her hair
She runs alongside the stream
Strands flowing mid-air
Freedom, Innocence, Joy
She’s the essence of them all
The daughter of the worthiest King
She dances, laughs, nurtures and sings
She flies upon the trusted wings of compassion
Stopping only to give the elixir of life
To give of herself, that inherent thing
Placed by the maker of earth and heaven
Honest eyes through which truth is bared,
She takes in all details, alive in them.
Passion, Healing, Zest
That which inspires, is breath
Beauty in her prime, matured o’er time
Radiance shines from her soul through her eyes
Grace cloaks her integral soul
Every atom of her soaked in agape alone
Unconditional, Unrelenting, Unreserved, Unlimited, Unequivocal love.
Her deep roots are grounded in more than soil
She softens hearts, she strengthens resolve
Absorbs the fragility of others as her own
She protects stemmed vulnerability with fierce thorns
Justice, Defiance, Purging
Catharsis, she’s walking tall.
Though she may wilt over time
The essence of her, never shall die
The breeze gently takes her back again
Regal to the end, as her last petal descends.
So that even after she has faded away
Petals pressed and timelessly framed
The impact of her, personified light
Reflects the One, who gave her life.
